Testimonial
My son began training with Master Tull in 1999, after transferring from another local karate school as an advanced belt. After observing one class we knew CK was the place for us. Master Tull is an exceptional instructor and role model for the students. CK is truly the school that grows with you. As students advance, there are many different opportunities at CK: demo team, leadership training, weapons training, as well as tournament training. My son has been fortunate to benefit from all of what CK has to offer. He is preparing to test for his 3rd degree black belt and is an assistant instructor and avid tournament competitor. My son has gro wn up at CK and now he is a role model to those younger students. I am truly grateful to Master Tull for providing the guidance and environment for all students at CK.

In 1989 I was searching for a karate program for my 9 year old son to take karate. He had a disability of Neurofibromatosis which cause much pain in his body and had problems with his motor skills. I found a karate school called Mid Atlantic Karate. As my son Sergio started taking classes my older son Miguel wanted to also take classes. In 1990 Michael Tull joined the teaching staff of Mid Atlantic Karate. Both boys looked up to Mr. Michael Tull and he became their mentor and hero.

While my boys were taking karate at Mid Atlantic Karate I wanted to also take classes. I asked Mr. Tull to teach me as a private student. I have been taking karate classes from him ever since.

In 1992 both of son’s obtained their black belt from Michael Tull. During their graduation each black belt candidate was required to give a speech. When it was Sergio’s turn to give his speech he started having very strong emotions about what he had accomplished and his feelings toward Mr. Michael Tull. Sergio could not have made it to his black belt without the special carrying and help Mr. Michael gave him.

Also late in 1992 I obtained the rank of 1st degree black belt from Mr. Michael Tull.

In 1995 Mr. Tull & Young Bedell bought the school and called it Champion Karate. The school was not only a place to take karate classes but was a center for family activities. The school was also a place were each student would feel important and would get the best training as possible. The school did not just give belts out to every student. As the master instructor and owner of the school, Mr. Michael Tull makes each student from white-black belt no matter the age. Mr. Tull also makes each student bring their report card in to be seen by the instructors and himself. Mr. Michael Tull and his staff provides tutoring services to any student.

In March of 2007 I was given my 4th degree black belt from Michael Tull. Mr. Tull invited all of my past and present students to attend my graduation.

Mr. Michael Tull is a great friend, outstanding father and husband. He has also helped me start and continue my karate programs. He has spent his own time and money to help underprivileged children learn martial arts.

Champion Karate is a perfect place for you and your family to learn Martial Arts and gain closer ties with each other. You will also become part of the Champion Karate Family.
