A letter from Ms. Mills:

Dear Parents,

I’ve had the privilege of teaching martial arts at Champion Karate for over 10 years and I wanted to share some of my experiences with you.  Not only have I taught dragon classes but also enjoy teaching juniors and adults.  Something that I’ve noticed over the years is that the number of parents and home coaches who stay and watch their child in class has significantly decreased!  Parents, your child really wants you to be here to watch them while they take class.  Having you sitting and watching what they’re learning and doing makes a huge impact on their confidence and self esteem.  Kids love to show off for their parents and they’re more confident knowing you’re there to support them and cheer them on.  When you watch your child in class, it also gives you an opportunity to learn the curriculum so that you can help them when they practice at home.

Mr. Tull and I have noticed the number of younger students we have in our classes and it’s very exciting to see the remarkable abilities of all our students.   Come in and share in the excitement!!!

I know everyone has very busy schedules and we really appreciate that parents recognize the importance of martial arts training for their child’s well being.  But just consider once a week coming in and watching your child in class.  You’ll be amazed!!

Ms. Stephanie Mills
